I started using Photo.net in 2004 and was inputing images on the regular

basis. Somehow I find myself becoming a student of photography, again.

Cheers,

I am far from being a portrait photographer, Ringo, so what I would say technically will not have much weight.   However, giving my best shot, I do really like this photo.  Jennifer's grandmother seems to have a slightly doubtful look, as if to say - what are you up to, or - must I pose? The details are all nice and clear with to me no bad highlights.  Her peering around the door gives a point of difference and tones in with her hesitancy.  The cropping is just fine and the background blends in nicely to show up her skin tones.  My eyes do drift to her jewelry,  but they help to define her preferences and personality.   I think you, she and Jennifer should be very pleased with the outcome.  Best wishes,  Jim

That's a nice portrait. Smiling, almost ironical, close and intimate feelings. I also like the door and the jewells.

It's only my opinion, but I would have prefered a more subdued post processing to match with the initmacy of this portrait.
