Light and shadows playing.

this shot was done while hiking towards " lacs jovets " in the french alps

. With canon 70-200 F4 IS L

I have processed the RAW file with a cold white balance and increased

contrasts . I felt a square crop inspiring for these swirling curves on the

snow.

The light is simply superb, as is your composition.  The square works perfectly.  This really presents the essence of the mountain, and it's a terrific photo (IMO, of course).

Magnificent contrast between light and shadow, and the cool blue colour suits the scene perfectly. The strong lighting on the highest peak places the emphasis just where it is needed.
