Beautiful and powerful portrait -- Her pensive expression and pose, while cradling her little girl in her lap is touching. I find it almost bittersweet to see how beautifully her pink colored sari comes across in your photo composition...

Without words you communicate volumes. This is very moving and it is also an attractive image. The colours in the sari, the different patterns, the folds in the fabric as it draps around the mother and child are wonderful to look at. The expression on the mother's face is tragic. A beautifully composed image of poverty. Best wishes, Linda

A sad but rich depiction of a less fortunate people, glowing, in terms of colour and definition, heart wrenching in terms of suffering and anxiety.
