 You have a very powerful expression on this woman's face but you have placed it dead center from left to right - not the most effective compositional placement.  The spare ear on the left margin of the photo does nothing to help either - perhaps distracts.  I strongly advocate cropping.

Jerry, you are absolutely right.  I took the photo and submitted it as is to persons in charge of such at the College because I wanted everything to be "in context."  I wanted the sense of the larger group to be visible to the viewer to convey a bit of what it was like to be in that particular spot at that specific time.

On an artistic level, however, your conception is vastly superior, and perhaps that is what I should have uploaded to Photo.net.
