I love the expression, her hair blowing - it has a sense of care-freeness that I see at the beach often - lovely shot!

Johann,

She is a very pretty girl. You have focused well on her eyes. Her skin tone is quite good, but there are some bluish areas under her eyes, on her nose and chin, and on her chest and right arm. I love her blonde hair. Her make-up looks good. She has a nice happy natural looking expression. The background is nicely neutral and she is well separated from it.

Her left and right compositional balance is very good. If you are going to crop that much into her hair you should do a tighter crop on the bottom. I would just give her more head room.

It is usual to use a vertical format with a vertical subject. There really is nothing in the background that calls for the horizontal format. I would shoot this vertically.

It appears you have taken some hairs out of her eyes. You don't want any retouching to be noticeable. You left a hair on her right eye.

She could use a little more light in her eyes. They are a bit dark. They are some catch lights in her eyes, but the whites of her eyes could be whiter. There is a problem with the left corner of her right eye. It looks like you may have had a problem trying to retouch that area? You should lighten the dark areas under her eyes.

Be careful of your depth of field. Her right shoulder is out of focus. I don't see a good reason to have any of her out of focus. An out of focus background is very nice and focuses attention on your subject. Parts of your subject out of focus will draw attention away from what is in focus. It is difficult to go wrong with having the entire subject in focus.

Thank you for putting your name on the mat where it belongs.

Nice shot,

Mark
