stp 6 Posted May 18, 2010 Yeah, I think it's just fine. The reflections fade away just at the edge of the frame, so I think you've placed the horizon line in just the right place. Frankly, I think the "rule" against a 50:50 split (or the horizon line right in the middle) is one of the worst generalizations around. In my mind and experience, it depends entirely on what's in the upper part and what's in the lower part. Sometimes that 50:50 split has a very soothing, zen-like appeal to it -- perfect balance. Sometimes the upper part provides more interest, and sometimes the lower part provides more interest. It just depends. Link to comment
carlwakefield 0 Posted May 18, 2010 I also like it the way it is, I see no reason to move the horizon up if you have no foreground feature to show. The clouds reflecting in the water alone with the trees makes it good the way it is. Link to comment

lonebearimages 0 Posted July 3, 2010 Very elegant! I like it just as it is too! I might take the two phone poles out, but it isn't a biggie. Well done! Cheers! Chris Link to comment
