Museeb,  the reason this image does not work so well is because rose on left needs to be included in frame. Florals are just like portrait or group photography. When you cut someone's head off or  a leg or hand or whatever the image loses its balance. That is what has happened here. In florals i think getting the image in the frame just right is one of the hardest things we do.

i agree with Roger's comments.  composition issues aside, I think you have the makings of a very nice photograph. I like the slightly dark portrayal of the roses, and the lighter background with its subtle gradation of tones works perfectly for the shot.
