pnital 36 Posted May 17, 2010 Who needs the saving? you or the "wounded " doll that saw better days? The juxtaposition is interesting, I wonder how did you build this composition? is it a single frame? For me as a viewer it looks like a story that can be told in some different directions. tholte 16,562 Posted May 17, 2010 Pnina, This is a straight photo. This guy is a street preacher that drives around with all kind of things glued to his car. He also has a loudspeaker and plays it full blast while driving around. I have photographed him often and will put a series together here to better explain what it is that I want to illustrate. pnital 36 Posted May 18, 2010 Thanks for your answer. It is an interesting scene, I will be glad to see more. BTW, dolls express so much in human life ,even though they are kind of still life ;-)) but it is still interesting why a preacher keeps a doll in his belonging.... Link to comment
LindaM 2 Posted May 18, 2010 Tim, I find your "Brother Ron" images so compelling. I look forward to seeing them collected. I wonder why he has such a creepy looking doll taped to his car. Her arms are raised as if in praise, but with all of her hair pulled out, the filth covering her, and the strange eyes, she looks rather demonic. So, did he find the proper scripture to "save" you? lizweisiger 0 Posted May 18, 2010 Wasn't there a horror movie made about this doll? Or am I doomed to have nightmares about it forever? Anyway, great moment to capture. I'm sure this man has lots of his own stories. Link to comment
