roy_pace 0 Posted May 7, 2010 I agree with Jan, I like the simplicity of the photo. The colors are also appealing, although perhaps just a bit over saturated. I think that you should crop it to a landscape format as there seems to be a little too much sky. Link to comment
korovev 0 Posted May 8, 2010 Great shot!It reminds me the work of Pete Turner, one photo in particular ("Push"). I love the composition, the sky is just perfect, colors are oversaturated but saturation is functional and allowed in a shot like this. The only detail that I find a bit disturbing is that horizon line is not level. Anyway, excellent work! Saluti, Marco Link to comment
dominicbyrne 0 Posted May 8, 2010 Thank you all for the comments - I'm glad you all seem to like it.I shot this in both landscape and portrait but actually prefer the portrait version - to my eye the larger expanse of blue sky balances the image this way but I appreciate different the different views. The horizon is dead level (please check) - unfortunately the swing frame is built at a slight angle and there was a very strong wind which meant that a couple of the swings are not vertical - this also adds a bit of tension to the image which while not ideal works for me.Thank you all for taking the time to comment - it is very much appreciated Link to comment
