Toronto-South from CN Tower

LenMarriott

Converted from original colour film (not recorded) Handheld through tinted glass window of CN Tower. Poor colour rendition of original prompted B&W conversion. Best, LM.

It is a nice point of camera. Need to be seen large and even large  some of the details are lost ( will  probably be present if printed ).Still I like the feeling of waves in the water, what looks a boat "cutting" the sea,the lines on the R and islands in the BG. What it really shows is only a clue how beautiful is the sight from this height. ;-)) Nice light (a bit glaring  on the BG) and  B/W tones. Best wishes.

Yes, without the boat (ferry actually) the photo loses an important element.  At least with the boat there is a sense of motion due to the wake but the planes on the runway, even though moving, look like they could have been pasted on in photoshop.  I chose to post this one in B&W even though the original is in colour in order to maintain consistency in the series of three shots from this tower.  The atmospherics that day rendered at least one of the images in poor colour so I decided to go with B&W for all three.  Best, LM.

Len, I like the color-version more. I presume the aicraft is small and the airport is 'The Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport'. The B & W version gives a vintage impression. Anyway, I like this series for its historical importance.

Your views are always appreciated.  Colour version preferred?  Great, let's take a poll. :-)  I  have to agree, in this one the colour version is OK.  In my explanation, above,  consistency is the biggie here.  The airport must have been named\renamed after I took this one & since I haven't been following events in that area too closely it's change escaped me.  Thanks for the update.  Perhaps the cityscapes we take today will have some historical significance 30 years hence.  Best, LM.
