A pier on a cloudy day. Perfect for a long exposure. I liked the

structure, and how it contrasted texturally with the water and sky.

Thanks for stopping by.

This is one of my favorite long exposures on your portfolio...nice foreground, then the side elements which lead you into the bridge at the center.  This is exactly the kind of stuff I am trying to learn how to do--I love the smooth texture of the water and, of course, the tones.  BTW, I mentioned The Mindful Eye to you before.  If you haven't seen it, check it out.  I am going through each and every Daily Critique--they are awesome little mini photographic art lessons.

Thanks Daniel.  This is one of my favorites of this section as well.  I liked the repeated pattern of the pilings, and the visible layers of barnacles to reveal tide lines.  I had taken some shots from higher up, but kept coming back to this one because of the lower perspective.  I felt it made the viewer more a part of the environment, and got rid of any distractions behind the structure.  Thanks again for stopping by.
