I think this was a novel idea that unfortunately did not work as well in practice as it did in theory.

Scott, Thanks. I'm pretty happy with it, and I'm glad I made the attempt.  It sure beat sitting on my ass the whole month of April, which is what I would have done if I hadn't tried it. I'm also glad to have attempted something different, rather than trudging along the same path that countless other photographers have traveled.  Perhaps someone else will take this concept one step further and make it that much better.

I think you succeeded mightily with this image. It illustrates the full expression of your concept "In Blossom" and is a stunning visual display at the same time. Doesn't hurt that your model is also using his eyes to great advantage.

Thanks Philip!  I think the wide dispersal of the orchids also helps, as if they're uncontrollably sprouting in every direction.
