gsphotoguy 3 Posted May 2, 2010 I've seen many model in a shower photographs, David, but this one has some nice elements. The composition and crop is very well done. Continuous light and a slower shutter speed might have blurred the water a bit but that might not have been your intention. I also like this image in B&W. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 3, 2010 I like this a lot. What's nice here is the flow (no pun intended) of the image. The water flows left to right, in line with her left arm. Then it flows vertically in line with her right arm. And her body flows the same way...left to right, then up and down. So here's a stupid question: Did you do it this way on purpose, or did you just shoot it? Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted May 5, 2010 Mark, Blurred water wasn't my intention which maybe suggests the water could have been sharper. Thanks for your comment.Steve, Natually!Jim, "Did you do it this way..." Naturally I did! You believe me don't you. In truth, I have been revisting older images and looking for elements I liked in them. I truly can't remember what I was trying to achieve with this. However, it is completely unposed and I feel you can feel the totally relaxed feeling in this shot. I hope so anyway! Thanks a lot.Maurizio, Thanks for stopping by.Apurva, I am glad you like it. Thanks a lot. Link to comment
JPPhoto1664880217 4 Posted May 14, 2010 The B&W coupled with the blurring give this a "film noir" character. Was this the intent?? Jim Phelps Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted May 15, 2010 This image was captured so long ago I can't really remember if there was any intent or not. I just remember admiring the pose and so I captured it. Link to comment
bhargaviimani 0 Posted July 6, 2010 Lovely image David. Love the splash of water on her body, the way the water is pouring down in the V area and the natural pose she is maintaining.... as a woman, this is something I do everyday but this being photographed and presented aesthetically is interesting to the eye... davidmccracken 2 Posted July 7, 2010 Thanks for the kind words. I am not suggesting you photograph yourself in the shower but it might be an interesting thing to think about. Link to comment
davidnoblephotography 0 Posted July 10, 2010 Great shot, David. I really like this. personally - the only alteration I would have made, would have been to crop the image slightly higher, simply for the reason that the way the water is flowing off her body... it looks like she's having a wee! davidmccracken 2 Posted July 11, 2010 Your point noted. Strangely that is one of the reasons I like the image. It begs the questiom, "Is she or isn't she?" Thanks a lot. Link to comment
bhargaviimani 0 Posted July 12, 2010 I agree with what was being said about it looking like she's taking a wee :) But.... yes, you're right, that also adds to the excitement when seeing this snap... what could that be? ha ha and I'm not going to attempt shooting myself :) I was talking to this being a normal scene for any lady while showering :) Link to comment
