I'd love to hear your thoughts on this picture - thanks! The sun was setting

- but I feel the sky is a little washed out....what do you think?

Too little, you said? Well, the magic glow of sunset is clearly not visible on this photo. A graduated neutral density won't work well on this scene, so you might want to learn to take multiple exposures and blend them.

Things don't look sharp either. Did you focus properly?

This is an dramatic, interesting site, and that comes across in your photograph. You were presented with a tough exposure situation; sometimes it pays off to become familiar with a place and return repeatedly under different lighting conditions...not always possible, of course.

I took a look at your portfolio and think that you are off to a good start. Keep shooting and learning from your experience and you'll become a first-rate photographer. 

I concur, completely, with Jim's comments.  You have tons of talent, and you seem to visit some of the most photogenic places in the world.  Work on your technique, timing for photography, and your processing, and you'll kick all of our asses!  This stuff is awesome!  Drive on, Lady, you are doing some good work here!  Cheers!  Chris
