A photo of a very close friend that used to live on Gabriola Island.

This was taken at the halfway point of about a 2 hour walk. Annie as

about 89 at the time.

Moving & emotional portrait.  The presence of her earring contrasts with her deep set wrinkles and adds another dimension to the image.  My only preference is to crop out the bottom to focus more attention on her face.  The out of focus fuzzy sweater and her cut off hand are a slight distraction.  Minor issues for a successful portrait.

Hi Robert.  Thanks for providing me with some input.  I am posting a cropped version.  Please let me know if this works.  I totally agree with what you said.  The original shot was spontaneous in nature, and my mom was getting frustrated at my attempts to get photos of her.  Take care.
