Snow Joy #2

Welcome back! It's quite a long time since your previous activity and I was pondering if ever you would appear and present new material.

What I have learnt to know as your style, this particular photo present something very familiar to my eyes, including something unexpected, and still something I have accustomed to see from your works.

These kids have finished their glide and the moment is stationary, although their expressions tell clearly about fun. But now, by adding this dark construction detail into your frame you add odd-ball dynamics, if I may say so. Further you know how to present snow as snow, as well avoid saturated red channel.

Laurent, Long time no see! Great to see you posting some new work. Whatever the black thing in the corner is, that makes this for me. Like Markku said, you have included the unexpected which makes this something more than just a very fine photo of two kids playing in the snow. The slope of the black angle gives this a wonderful dynamic, implying the slope the boys have just slid down.....goodness, those boys are growing!!!

Laurent, you snuck this one past me while I was out wandering in the creative desert trying to find an oasis.  Just came back myself a couple of days ago. This is a beauty, especially like the "A-frame" on the left as counterpoint to the tumbling reds.
