Heathrow Terminal 1

Only a few flights were allowed to fly in that morning. Our flight was

the first flight to land that morning and the first United Airline

flight to land in the UK after the closure of Heathrow due to

Iceland's Eyjafjallajoekull volcanic mountain eruption.

On a normal day more people would have been seen walking through this

corridor. That day, it was just me and two little girls.

I am so glad that you captured this, since it was unusual to find the terminal so empty. Did you make most of the photo monochrome, while leaving the signs in color? Very unusual photo, considering the circumstances, friend. I hope you keep your camera with you. I look forward to viewing your photos.  Janice.
