Looks very good and same time is an interesting phenomenon, sensation is that all image with this sand shapes looks like took from an airplane.

I like the simple abstract look of this, I can tell what it is and find it interesting that my eyes continue to search in the frame...(maybe I am looking for a dog)   well done  ;)

Warm regards, Pamela

Thanks all for your kind remarks.  It was a beautiful and idylic evening at the lake, with a fog bank creeping in toward sunset.  One of those times when your so glad you're a photographer.

Pam - Sorry to disapoint about not having a dog in there somewhere!  (it took great self control . . .)

Hi David, and thanks!  This one required very little processing - mainly some color & contrast tweaking.  What you're seeing is fog or mist coming in low off the lake.

I keep looking at this photo. ...over and over again. I am getting lost. I think about the reality of it, and then the abstract, as if I were a bird, and the sand is a group of clouds. I wasn't sure if I liked it, at first, but it is growing on me. Very thought-provoking photograph, David.

David I love this photo. You have captures a great moment in time . As others haves said; I too love the way the sky and ocean blend at the horizon.

I really like the simplicity and cleanliness of this.  I was at Sleeping Bear Dunes in 2013 and the shoreline reeked of the tiny dead fish that littered the shoreline.  This is similar to what I saw, but without the dead fish.  Nice!

Thanks for looking this one up Jeff.  Lots of sand on the Lake Michigan side, but thankfully no more dead alewives, (their population crashed a couple of years ago).

Best, David
