A BATTLE AGAINST TEARS

Carlos, you have 'reined in' very Close and Personal on this young man....his face full of emotion...his  eyes welling up with tears are what truly 'get to me'.  He appears to be at an age where life is very confusing and full of many changes.  Excellent Black and white work with great skin tones and wonderful 'eyes'....well done! 

Carlos, nice work, the expression of the face is very good, a good job in the eyes and the B&W is perfect in this case.

What a lovely portrait Carlo, so full of expression.  The very subtle tones enhance the feeling of reality. So often a portrait can be technically marvellous but it does not reflect the personality or mood of the subject. Here, the moment captured is like a still from a movie and it conveys the impression of a thought process that is frozen in time.  Excellent work, bravo.

 are so strong in your portraits.I think that your black series are as strong and  exposing them so well  as in  this one.There is an existential sadness and mystery in your human portraits which I think are part  of yourself  as a human being , and therefore you succeed in expressing them so well. A small nit is the frame that I'm not sure about( but it is a persona ltaste ),it is a heavy weight vs. his  expressive face and a kind of competition.Your execution in general is spot on.

This evokes a very emotional response from the viewer.
