I realise that I have a thing about faces by the half.

Feedback appreciated.

This half-face has a full share of brightness, alertness, and delicacy.  I'd bring down the light flyaway hairs that you're playing against the smooth skin.  The coarse texture of the hair is not a problem, but the very strong local contrast there tends to compete with the less contrasty face.

There is something quite stunning about the slight smile here. I am completely drawn in. The hair becomes a nice half frame. Your technical skills are apparent here with the beautiful light on her face and the range of tones while still holding detail in her hair. Great work, David!

 Mark, 'Work' might be a bit of an overstatement her. This was an chance snap of a stranger in a park. She was very obliging. I am happy with the result. Thanks a lot.
