A simple title for a simple composition. The Owl's Clover has been one of my favorite wildflower subjects because of it's 3D quality. They just pop right off the screen or print. The clouds were stubborn at first, but began to allow some light through. When the light began to tickle the distant slopes the clicking began at a feverish pitch. I am looking for this meadow to really come in over the next couple of weeks with more blooming. If the rains don't come, the show will soon be over. Bummer!! Good while it lasts though!

Mark...  Splendid shot.  I feel many of my comments are redundant in this series, but rest assured they are perfectly presented and I'm enjoying each one vicariously through you.  Thanks for sharing... Mike

Hey Mike, thanks for living vicariously. Sounds like a movie " A Year of Living Vicariously". Yes, I understand the challenge of coming up with comments that sound fresh and unique. "Like this one" will suffice. I probably don't comment as often anymore because I find myself trying to come up with new material and I get "commenter's block". So I have curtailed my time on PNet from what it was a year or more ago. I also check on your new work regularly, but I like to take landscapes and as well, I am moved to comment more so by landscapes. You have spent more time with portraits and animal photography. All good stuff but not my cup of tea. Sometimes I feel like a "one trick pony" because I really don't appreciate photography in general, just landscapes. Even I have been doing portraits and a few weddings as well as some pet photography. None of it inspires me, even to this day. I do like the supplemental income from it though. Other landscape artists refer to it as "prostituting". A rather harsh description, but I get the inference. I do see in your work that you do enjoy working in other "genres" if you will, it shows in your images. That's good for you!! I always appreciate hearing form you.

Mark...  Ahhh, but your pony has so many tricks it's a one pony show worth the admission.  There are days I wish I could just stick to one genre and get much better at it; but I'm what I've described as an opportunistic photographer.  I just take what gets in the way of the lens. When first married my collection of photos contained about 99% landscape, but marrying into a family of sisters (and subsequent knee-knockers) I was forced into children shots and have learned to enjoy it, most of the time.  The animals, now I could do that all the time.... I really prefer them to most people (sad to say).  Anyway, thanks for sharing your work and hope you get some rain so these will continue.... Mike

This is a beautiful landscape.  The purple color, shapes, and distribution of the flowers are very appealing, and the light on the background hill is just exquisite.  I think you've given the most appropriate space to the sky -- overall an excellent composition with superb light.
