Ness. Pleasure of smoking

IMO, the only thing that's really wrong with this image is the fact that it's not mine!

An exceptionally good photograph, like an exceptionally good painting, is often more than a technically accurate rendition.  It goes on to set the viewer's imagination in motion.  It will evoke an interpretation of the story he or she sees before their eyes.  This is what this image did for me.  Close study of this image reveals a lot of potential truths... even though it is posed, it could be a real and honest slice of life:

  This beautiful, long-haired blonde's husband doesn't like her to smoke.  So, she has to sneak down to the basement every morning before work with her cup of coffee to enjoy her cigarette. 

Because she is a very sensual woman, confident in her sexuality, and because she's feeling extememly amorous this morning, has elected to leave her panites in the drawer... to pull on only her thigh highs under her dress.  She's anticipating the feel of the leather chairs that await her for her meeting in the conference room at work this morning.

While her mind is reeling with fantasies about work, she carefully leans to one side to keep her flowing hair from the business of lighting her cigarette.  The glow of the match and the sliver of morning light eeking its way through the window to her trimmed delight combine to create an angelic and wayward beauty seldom witnessed in a "candid" glimpse of her life.

To me, the best a forum has to bring is not a technical critique ( although it is often useful ) but to show me that some people make my picture theirs by adding their feelings, their stories to the image; A work is never complete untill "dressed" by others with their dreams and sensitivity. You have just given me that and I thank you for it.
