pfranklin 0 Posted April 18, 2010 Impressive and shows off the power of the Spokane River, are the gondolas over the falls still used? I like the treatment, very good detail and I am guessing it would be good without being HDR. My only nit would be the branches at the bottom, I understand that it is often hard to get a pov without some distraction...just surprised that you didn't remove them. Keep wellWarm regards, Pamela Link to comment
jtipton 0 Posted April 19, 2010 Thanks to everyone that commented and rated. A little history. The Monroe Street bridge was the longest concrete arch bridge in the US and the 3rd longest in the world when it was opened for traffic in 1911. The Post street Washington water power station was built in 1889 and brought electricity to the City of Spokane (Falls). Yes Pamela, the Gondola still runs from River Front Park, the site of Expo '74. A side note, last years run off almost breached the wall visible in this picture. This is just a trickle in comparison.
