Your tilt shift photography is quite impressive. I've seen some of this type of work before but none that is near the quality of yours. I need to do some more reading on this technique, if only for information sake.

The effect of your lens is amazing and your work is excellent! It really does come off as miniature and reminds me of all the happy times I had watching my son play with his trucks in his own make-believe construction site. Thank you for sharing and making me smile! :)

Thanks for watching Trisha - your comment strikes the same chord that started me out on this project.

Started as an vague idea. It struck me, looking at the machines working in a gravel pit, how much this looked like my childhood sandbox. The bright colors, the functionality of the machines - even the tiretracks. It was all there. I got a little bit enveyous of these guys - somehow they managed to stay in the sandbox and kept playing with the cool machines.

This lead to me meeting many others who realized the childhood dream of what to become, when they grew up. These people all seem to have something in common. They all seem very very happy and they often tell me, it's hard for them to go home at night, when their workday is over.

Apart from that, I found the tilt-shift technique very fascinating. Theres a strange reversed aesthetic to it - Usually I strife for clean composed shots. Aiming for the diorama look it's often the casual things, things that would disturb a normal photo, that makes the effect work.
