Don't try to second guess yourself, David. The arrangement of light and shadow as well as the color make for a very good composition. Sometimes pure composition is enough.

David, I was aware that this was simple and it is for that reason I did not think it would attract so much attention. Thanks for your input.

Mark, Indeed you are correct but I really wasn't sure about this. You are too kind. Please don't stop.

Kombizz, Thanks!

Fernando, Perhaps not too different but I am very happy you took the time to comment. Thanks!

Dieter, Thank you.

Mauro, If you like it, it was worth the effort.

Thanks everyone! I am surprised by the comments.

looking at the thumbnail, i think the penumbra of the shadow through the blind piqued my interest... got me in... can't say i'm disappointed... am pleased in fact... why? let's see... i like the progression from top to bottom, each tier seems to have its own identity, either of light or color or texture... its anchored well at the bottom with the fatter horizontal streaks of brightness -- just love that red pepper! so whimsical!

A very kind comment indeed! I will just say that all you see was planned! You do believe me don't you?

Seriously it is better to be lucky than good. Thanks a lot.

in your other photographs, some of them anyway, the red pepper comes across as part of your signature -- but in this it seems very much a part of the composition

it pleases me anyway to imagine so...

a photograph is always planned... the lens demands that it be pointed... the shutter demands a finger-press...

Nice! At first I thought it was a sun blind in front of a window but when I spotted the pepper I decided it is a stair.

Great.

I really like your little project collection and this one of my favorites in this folder. Very creative work David.

Thanks for your comment and rating on my recently submitted photo.

Best regards Sadegh
