Jack McRitchie 150 Posted April 14, 2010 Even though it's a contemporary picture, it has the feeling of an interior shot from the 19th century in which people seem caught in a timeless space where they will remain waiting forever. I like it very much. Link to comment
bob_belanger 1 Posted April 14, 2010 I love all the tile and the stove right in the middle of all the action (if that's what you call it). Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted April 15, 2010 First of all, thank you for the dedication. It's an honor. What's interesting to me is that this is not a photo I could have taken, but it is represents scenes I aspire to take. I've been looking at pictures of Cartier-Bresson, currently the subject of a MOMA exhibit in NY. I can't go, but the rest of the family are going to the show. There's something reminiscent in this photo to his expert work, a natural ordering of subjects and scene. Lovely work, as always. Link to comment
192 0 Posted April 15, 2010 This is a beautiful capture and good composition...Actually,we have this old cafe in our country too...We call these places"ghahve khaneh"..means a place for having tea and rest for awhile...You can eat something, have a rest and smoking a hubble bubble with drinking tea...An old place for visiting old people and old friends...This shot is very touchable for me and I have many memories with every details...Anyway,thanks so much for your good shot and sharing this with us! wolfgangarnold 142 Posted April 16, 2010 a masterpiece. Composition, centered around the stove, light and composure of the "old friends" are just great. What I like about your photos is that they really well convey a sense of culture and life - and this one of the best examples.Best regards, Wolfgang Link to comment
jim_air 0 Posted April 19, 2010 You have certainly captured something, presumably representative, and unique here. A part of culture and history. I would hesitate to express exactly what it is. Nevertheless it probably represents a moment about which people may look back and say "I remember being around in such a time and the cafe". In some ways it is a haunting image. Don't know about the title - as the four in the front seem disassociated, though may be taking out time to reflect. I would have called it "Pondering life and change" :-), Congratulations, Jim Link to comment

Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted April 20, 2010 Nice shot and post processing. I probably would have gone for a tad more contrast, though. Link to comment
