Guest Guest Posted April 19, 2010 Beautiful Lady dear Umair ;) so sophisticated, but kinda sad here? or she is so concentrated ;))) Biliana Link to comment
awaraagard 0 Posted April 20, 2010 Sadness is the essence of all art, probably one can call it hyper sensitivity. Yes indeed she was like that while performing BULLEH SHAH'S [sufi Mystic] verse TU NAHIN MAIN NAHIN [i'm nothing without you]. regards! Link to comment
Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted April 20, 2010 Nice portrait, Umair, but truth be told, the contrast is a bit harsh, marring an otherwise nice image. Link to comment
aarkp 2 Posted April 20, 2010 you have clicked her at a poignant moment -- immersed in the music and the immortal words... i have not heard her but will now search for her music Link to comment
awaraagard 0 Posted April 20, 2010 thanx Emmanuel, I should have watched for highlights but things were not working my way. I did not transfer this image to Monotone in PS but actually shot on monochrome mode with controlled contrast settings. As there were three huge power bulbs handing right in front of her, I was helpless.thanx Poddar, will find the recording and send it your way. She's too good! I truly enjoyed an earlier performance where she performed Raga Chayanat. regards! Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted May 3, 2010 Umair, though technically this is not a perfect image due to limitations mentioned by you, yet you have admirably captured the mood of the maestro.Perhaps B & W is the ideal tone for this type of image. Link to comment
