Guest Guest Posted April 14, 2010 Oskar, This is much much better than Beata VII. If I would have seen this before Beata VII, I would not have bothered to critique Beata VII. The composition and expression is much better here. The lighting is very nice. Your focus is good. The background is nicely out of focus. I really like almost everything about this portrait. There are a couple of things I would do that I feel would improve it. I would make the whites of her eyes whiter and brighten her catch lights. This would make her eyes stand out more -- give more life to them. I would tone down her left hand which is slightly lighter than her face. You don't want the viewer's eyes drawn away from her face to a lighter area of the photograph. The same is true of the trees to her left in the background. I love this cat! Nice shot, Mark Link to comment

onlocation 0 Posted October 13, 2010 Hi Oscar, Nice portrait! Have you used a reflector to reflect 'light' onto Beata's face? - Shows a nice skin tone on her face. Link to comment
