I really like several things about this picture. I like the choice of monochrome, and the way the dog's face and the woman's scarf complement each other with the B/W . I like the position of the dog in the frame, and the way it's looking right at the camera. The background is pleasantly non-distracting. I would like a better look at the woman's face -- I would like the see the connection between her and her dog. Right now it feels like she's more of a handler (getting the dog to look at the camera). I think a better shot of her face (her hair tucked behind her ear might do the trick) would help me feel the connection between them.

Interesting shot. good composition and i like the naughty look of dog.

So many times I see dogs who are obviously happy with their human friends, but then there are times that I am unsure of their emotions. Thank you for showing this joyous occasion. I will pay closer attention to dog's emotions on my next walk about the neighborhood.

happiness and warmth so beautifully expressed in the embrace and dog smile. In order to avoid comparison between expressions in the human as opposed to the dog face, I might be tempted to crop more of the womans head to leave only the tip of her nose and mouth, or maybe even cut of her entire head so as to focus on her embracing arms and the dog's face.

As is, a very pleasant expression of the joy of love or is the love of joy?
