bdogani 0 Posted April 13, 2010 I like the idea, but the background is very disturbing, you should have gone with a plane white background or something less colorful. Bulent Link to comment
jerrymat 5 Posted April 13, 2010 I too find the background to be overwhelming in the sense that it attracts the attention of the viewer more than the figure. Perhaps such a background could be used with a simple nude figure study to advantage, but it works against you here. Actually a simple black geometric shape as subject would work with the background, which itself demands to be the center of attention. You also have a thin white line showing that you cut the figure loose from any original background and pasted her here. It is possible to do this kind of thing without leaving the tel-tale sign. john_ashby2 0 Posted April 17, 2010 The original background was light gray seamless, but I felt like the image needed something more. I'll attach a version with the background turned down a bit. Does that help, and how does the photo itself look? As far as the poor quality of separating the background, I know I need to work on my photoshop skills, maybe that's all the more reason I should have left it gray. The white line is from the way I feathered the layer mask, but I was hoping it looked more like a glow. Link to comment
myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted June 7, 2012 I emphathize with your comment "I know I need to work on my photoshop skills,". Recenty I tried to learn, create and even posted such images (as this) visa via layering and my results were so unsuccesful that frankly I just gave up. Good luck to you. Link to comment
