Thanks Hans! I see a rating of 3/3 on this and your comment sure make me feel better :-) - I don't think it such a great shot aesthetically ... But, it's a natural shot of what bird do and to catch the bird sharp with clarity like this takes close to 100 shots, btw. Happy shooting!

I wouldn't worry too much about anonymous raters. Anybody that means it puts their name to a rating.

The setting and the bird spontaneously interacting with man made objects is what I like about this.

Yes Hans, I totally agree. After all, if one feels the shot is below par and seriously feel it could be improved then some constructive suggestion would have shown true ability. I never care much about rating any way, I used to be on a critique site and they tear you appart with critique but it's a much more level playing field since the rater have to back it up with their ability in comments rather than bias. Happy shooting since it's more important how much we enjoy our shoot! :-)

Personally, if this is not my shot I would have given this a 4 or 5 but a 3 should have some justification since it's not out of focus and one may not like the man-made setting but it's a matter of taste, not something that's low in quality (in my opinion) . :-)
