good behavioral shot. Belted kingfisher is the least cooperative bird in North America, in my opinion. Hard to photograph without a blind

Great shot and bokeh. This is a difficult shot to catch. He looks upset, maybe he's trying to keep away his competition.

Chris, I've a serious question which might look funny to you.. Do you go in search of birds wait for their action... CLICK.. (or) Do the birds come to you....  pose when you are ready... with your camera setup at the time..  I've seen excellent pics of birds by many other photographers but not seen as excellent as your pics which are flawless... I am confused totally to understand your theory..
