This is an old tractor I pass on my commute. One day we were going onthe same road and my wife was driving. So I shot 4 pictures whiledriving by. This one looked the best.

Your critique appreciated.

Thanks!

I think you did really well capturing this image whilst driving past, it's really sharp and full of detail. The B & W treatment suits the image also, adding to the nostalgic mood and character. The upper part of the image seems very dark, but maybe this has been done deliberately to highlight the main subject, in any case it works. I like it.

Thanks all for your comments!

Alf, yes you are right about the upper part of the image being dark. In the original picture the trees on the upper part was only slightly darker than the grass in the front. So the tractor was just another thing. It never stood out. But if I used a slight gradient, the tractor stood out because of the contrast between the dark trees and the tractor.

Arnav,

As all of us country folks would say this is a classic. It needs to blowed-up put in a barn wood frame & on the wall. Beautiful image with wonderful details. Great processing. Take care, Patsy

Thanks for all your comments.

Michael, we were going only about 30mph. It is a single lane back road that goes across a farm. I got lucky especially with the angle of this shot.

Thanks
