make it very tough for the slow AF of the 5D II to focus, btw.

Well, I have been trying to get a good shot of hummingbirds for quite some time now, but after seeing this I am going to give up.  The background is busy but it is not a problem at all because of the intense action of the subjects.  In fact, I think it adds to the shot and increases the feeling of turmoil in the "quarrel". Thanks Tani & Walter! Tanni is a good friend who knows that I've been shooting HB for a few years, infact, she the one that had inspired me to shoot HB with her HB shots.

Walter,  I've been trying to duplicate this and hope to get a better background since I've recently acquired a 1D Mark III and it definitely focus, shoots faster (10fps verse 3.9 fps) but so far no luck. Greetings from a warm/hot Southern California.
