Jim, I didn't get wet, but I did have to pay close attention to not letting my hat blow away. It was very windy.

The composition of horizontal bands with a stong vertical cutting through all three layers is fixed and conventional. But the individual elements within the layers - the blowing grass, the threatening sky, and the expanse of open prairie caught between these two elemental forces - give this a dynamic quality, a feeling of latent power..

Jack expressed it well. There is a very strong feeling of latent power. My only wosh wopuld be for a more even distribution of the three layers.

I don't see any 'outstanding' problems with this composition.....love the detail in the foreground...esp in the grasses around the tree and tree itself....the brooding sky is very effective and wonderful contrast to the golden landscape....glad you didn't loose your HAT !!! Once you get one worn it ...it would be like loosing your favorite pair of jeans!!!! nice work Chuck.....sincerely, Gail
