Roseate Spoonbill-1

Inspired by some excellent bird photographers here, I recently went for my first serious

birdshoot, and it was really great fun. Posting some of my captures here. I used a

400mm prime lens and tracked my shots - found shooting birds in flight the most

exciting and also the most challenging. Comments and critiques for improvement are

appreciated. Thanks!

Good shot. One thing you might consider is giving him a bit of room to fly into. The tight crop makes it feel a bit cramped. Thanks for sharing.

I had the same thought as the above comment before reading it. A little more space on the right. Great shot. Birds are not easy. Regards.

Does this work better?

2nd crop good improvement. Bring your shutterspeed down to 1250 or 1600 and you will have less noise to deal with.
