Ricardo,

Caro is a very pretty girl. I love her bright and happy smile. It suits her and looks very real. She has very good eye contact with the camera (viewer).

Her skin tone is quite nice, but be careful of her pink ear and a few minor pink areas on her face.

You have two catch lights in her eyes. One catch light per eye is preferred.

Make sure you have carefully focused on the eye that is nearest the camera. Watch your depth of field. I don't see a good reason to have any of her out of focus. An out of focus background is very nice and focuses attention on your subject. Parts of your subject out of focus will draw attention away from what is in focus. It is difficult to go wrong with having the entire subject in focus.

You don't want to have her thumb showing in the lower right corner. It is very distracting.

I would not have her hunch her left shoulder forward. Have her sit up straight with her shoulders back and her chest forward. Good posture usually looks best. I wouldn't hide her chin behind her shoulder.

It would be best to remove any hair the is falling across her eyes. I would whiten her teeth a bit. They have some strange colors on them -- blue/green and a little yellow.

The bright blue top and the pink background draws the viewer's attention away from the viewer. You want the viewer's attention to be on her face. More neutral colors for her top and background would work better.

Your composition is quite good, but I would extend the left side a bit. Your subject should have more room in front of her than behind. This allows her to be facing into the picture, not out of it. You want to compositionally balance the left and right sides of the photograph. The compositional "rule" for this suggests that you position the tip of the subject's nose in the vertical center of the photograph.

You could add a little to the bottom. A little more room on the bottom would better compositionally balance the top and the bottom. As you have it right now you would have to crop into her hair to make it balanced.

You could soften her face a little to smooth out her complexion and remove the circles under her eyes. Her pupils are quite dilated. If you use brighter modeling lights or have a brighter area to shoot her in, her eyes will not become so dilated.

Thank you for putting your name on the mat where it belongs.

This is a very good portrait of a real cutie!

Nice shot,
