I have many 'Gems' to be THANKFUL for in my life.....not just at this

very poignant time of year.....but ALWAYS....I could have cropped this

shot much differently, but I wanted to see ALL the hues -- many are my

favorite colors.

So often, as I stuggle to understand the 'beyond understandable

occurances' in this LIfe, the Poet continues to write....I truly love His

Palette....words written in rainbows of colors as I 'record' His presence,

during the little 'bits and moments' that calm my mind, reminding me

that there is much JOY in my existance....JOY that I am blessed

with...and if I choose....perhaps sharing that JOY may calm a heart so

very much in need of a 'shoulder as soft as mine'. Yes....I am truly

blessed. (comments welcome....Gail)

The picture reflects your JOY and so do the frames, fancy ones! May God be always with you as He is now Gail!

I really like the beautiful softness, from the sharp inner flower to softer petals and the blurred surroundings. Different composition too. Flower at the top and stems at the bottom.

Nicely done Gail

All my best, Bill

Great shot Gail. Great piece of wisdom as well. We would all do better to stop and reflect what we have to be thankful for. Thanks for the reminder. Jim

The spring time, and the human soul is more happy, more free waiting for a better period, like was this last. A nice picture, very good details on the sharp part of it. Happy Ester, Gail.

PS: I hope your mother is better now.

Thankyou for your very kind words of critique Bill......I puposely wanted the background so soft and the detail to be sharper from the middle out.....I may even do a version of just the petal itself....this plant, I"m not sure of the name, but the stem is kind of 'woody' and a bit hollow. The bloom itself is only about the size of a Twooney....I have another shot of it in my Portfolio...in Dig. Alt. experiments I think...you just see more blossoms along the long stems....I hope you can enjoy the sunshine and beautiful warmth of the weekend.

Our paper has a page done by a local person who tells us all the woodsy flowers, birds migrating and spending some time here.....and almost exactly where to find them.....although I can't go visit Mom yet.....(almost all better)...perhaps a walk in the woods would render some photos that may surprise 'myself'............tnks for your visit.....sincerely, Gail

Thanks for your inspiring words Jim.....odd this weekend is also the 3rd anniverary of when we had to put our 'Hayley' down.............and it being Easter....also....loosing her ...........perhaps the timing of her demise was meant to bring my mind much closer to the 'real loss' mankind experienced......but much of this yearly celebration speaks of how we are not alone as we have a wonderful 'return' to look forward to. Yes...I am blessed........tnks for visiting and taking the time to critique....Gail

Another nice and creative image to add to your collection. Nice sombre colors and the slight out of focus adds to the interest for the viewer. Take good care Gail and all the best to you and your family. Have a Happy Easter.
