A scene of 2 ,a new dance I have photographed by the name of "Srul" . Choreographer: Tamir Ginz, dance group company : Kamea ( translates to talisman).Narrative is about childhood memories and nostalgic yearnings, inspired by the dancers' reactions to rockets landings near their rehearsal hall in the south of the country.

Pnina, a symbolic image with very good control of exposure & light .The inert bodies of the ladies and dynamic entry of the dancer, justifies the caption. A difficult shot.

I like the light and movement. The yellowish green on the shoulder of one and the calf on the other -- like terrible bruise -- like the red of the foot on the other photo. I'm distracted though with the backdrop.

Amal, thanks for a nice interpretation and your support in both of them.

Tolo, I have translated your comments, thanks for your evaluation.

Donna, the BG is like a border or an obstacle if you want.Storm and stillness, is as I see our history and life here, it is my interpretation as well for a fraction of a whole sentence in the dance. Thanks for your evaluation which is parallel in part of mine. The contexts is very wide in my eyes.

Bob, Mark and Les, thanks for your nice comment and evaluation.

So now you come rushing back along with your joyous, leaping dancer only to find us collapsed in fatigue on the stage from our long vigil awaiting new pictures. :-))

Quite a nice vignette after your long (and hopefully reinvigorating) holiday..

I particularly like the color here, warm, but with a bit of being troublesome. The blur on the dancer entering the scene is nicely handled, adding a touch of energetic drama.

Jack, thanks, you made me smile, the juxtaposition of the scene and your comment.....you know better now....

El, those are nice and kind words, thanks

Linda, thanks as well for both.

Jeff, It is always a 'fight" with the stage light, to find the equilibrium, I liked what the light did to the dancers, it gave it a wider concept. Thanks

Somnath, thanks for your visit and and 7/7

is what your image brings to mind. Maybe not the intention of the choreographer, but it looks like the dancers were swept to shore by the sea and the running one comes to rescue. I like the way the light is controlled and the horizontals in the composition that make me imagine the sea.

Pnina, this is so very well seen and executed, I could go on and on touching on all the elements of which I'm aware, and I'm just as sure there is more here than I can either appreciate or verbalize. I love that the dancer in motion isn't touching the floor (maybe one toe?) and that his head is backed by darkness just before one's eye comes to the lighted scrim. To me it's also important that no faces are visible as it adds much to the symbolism and allows great freedom in viewing the image. Beautifully done! Warm Regards, David.

Ahalan Pnina,

After being away for awhile from PN I am back.

Very interesting are these images from the stage. Great dynamism and good tematic contrast. The warm light gives the right feel of studio lighting.

I am however a bit less sure about the upper background. It takes away the attention and is a bit distracting.

But otherwise a lovely image.

All the best

Tibi thank, interesting impression,I would not have thought of it that way... But as I have written before a photo uploaded has a life of its own and can be interpreted in many ways.

Mario, thanks for your feedback.

David, it is a pleasure seeing you back. Thanks for your nice evaluation, and seeing the symbolism of life in this dance. The main thing as I see it is the communication, and thoughts this photo (and any photo) evokes and touches the viewer. Seeing it in many ways , as aesthetic creation, documentary , a message, or any other way.

I hope your time will permit you to be more active in your photography.;-))

Peter, nice as well to see you back, and thanks for your feedback and point of view . Each of us has his own way of interpreting a photo. I respect yours and I hope you will be present again i n the site after your long absence.....
