Aleksandar,

She is a beautiful girl. You have focused very will on her eyes. Her skin tone is very good. I love her make-up. She has very good eye contact with the camera (viewer). The background is nicely our of focus and quite neutral.

She has two catchlights in each eye. One catch light per eye is preferred.

Avoid bright colors and bold patterns in clothing. In a portrait the subject’s face is what is most important and nothing should draw the viewer’s attention away from the face.

You usually do not want to have your subject turned 90 degrees to the camera. This can make the head look unsupported. It usually looks best to angle your subject somewhere around 45 degrees.

I would avoid the wrinkles caused by stretching the material of her blouse too much across her breast. This makes the top appear ill fitting.

Be careful of foreshortening. Watch for anything closer to the camera than the body. If nearer the camera than her body her feet, knees, hands, elbows and shoulders will look out of proportion to the rest of the body -- larger than normal -- foreshortened.

Your subject should have more room in front of her than behind. This allows her to be facing into the picture, not out of it. You want to compositionally balance the left and right sides of the photograph. The compositional "rule" for this suggests that you position the tip of the subject's nose in the vertical center of the photograph.

You want to make sure the far eye is either completely showing or not showing at all. You do not want to have the bridge of her nose cut her far eye. It is best to have at least some of the whites of her eyes showing on each side of her irises. If you have her looking out of the corners of her eyes it looks awkward and unnatural.

Nice shot,

Mark
