davidmccracken 2 Posted April 2, 2010 To a certain extent I disagree with Luca. Her hypnotic stare enhances the mood of the image. I can see why it would not appeal to everyone and I have to be honest and say I wouldn't put it on my wall but I certainly like the result. Link to comment
gsphotoguy 3 Posted April 3, 2010 Luca - One aspect of lightpainting is that the subject needs to hold still. Some models have closed their eyes and some did what Valya did. I'm sorry you find it unpleasent but I like this look. Pierre - Thank you, I like this technique very much. David - I'm quite pleased you like the result. I'm not sure I'd hang it on my wall either but I do hope to hang a lightpainting series in a gallery soon. Maybe someone will like it for that purpose. -Mark Link to comment

Indeed, it reminds me of some gallery work I saw recently in which the somewhat arbitrary lighting took on a new meaning when you saw the pictures lined up together. In fact, the model moved around, but the light source remained the same ... Link to comment
