ananda1 0 Posted March 29, 2010 Residence of the Dukes of Lesdiguières, who governed the Dauphine region of France (which was part of holy Roman Empire between 1349 to 1461). Built in 1600, served as Town Hall of Grenoble from 1719 to 1967. Note that the tower is not a part of the building, its the Cathedral behind the monument. Stendhal (Marie-Henri Beyle - 1783 to 1842), a romantic French author use to visit this garden for his walks. Request CC Link to comment
