Yes they are chickadees really but named differently in the UK alonwith having a little different colouring. If you look up on the internet sitesyou will notice that the tit (Great, black capped, blue etc) are called chickadees in the US.

Great shot Taha - came after your comments on my small gallery page that I only noticed today. We're having difficulty getting the tits to stop fidgeting for a fraction of a second. Funnily enough, the Robins here in Northern Ireland are adapt at posing, and we've had them taking food from our hands, but not the tits. Just spent the last few minutes looking through your portfolio - really like the tree-creeper/nuthatche. Martin
