but he hangs out by the reeds at El Dorado park, kind of hard to catch

since he keeps hiding among the reed stalks.

Perhaps the understatement of this century! Beautiful shot of a rather irksome bird having honed hiding skills, whose taunting calls I know well enough. Glimpsed this same bird once for half a second. There is justice in your capture.

Thanks Charles! Yes, it did take me the last 3,4 weeks to catch him with this 7D, the 5D Mark II could not catch him since it focuses much slower and the bird generally flew away after a few seconds. - Happy shooting!

Thanks Steve! Haha, isn't that the truth. I've been shooting at El Dorado Park for over a year and only caught these fellow only twice.
