No matter the language, how simple, or obscure.....a Prayer whispered

in even the darkest night.....I KNOW will be heard. (comments

Sadness and maybe some despair but with a burst of hope and energy the sadness is reversed to bring a smile of rosy cheeked happiness.

A picture to look at on days when the going gets tough !!

I like what you've done with this Gail, for me it's an image with a clear message that is artistically and creatively put together.

Beautiful work.

All my best, Bill

wonderful work as always Gail. I wanted to give this a higher rating but alas PN wont allow it. In any event this is so creative and well presented. The colour combinations and composition are perfect. Naturally, if this was hanging on my wall, I would place it on a rotating swivel so as to turn it around depending on my mood. cleverly done

At first I thought that I had finally gone over edge, thinking that there's still a mouth if the image is turned 180 degrees. Then, I confirmed it. Yes, I've gone over the edge, and yes there is still a mouth once the image is flipped. An amazing stroke of creativity!!!! Love the colors and details.

This photograph reminds me of both masks and paintings created by aboriginal peoples from a variety of locations. To me, this means you have captured the essence of their art and, more importantly, the message behind it.

I'm glad you discovered you were not going over the edge....I knew you'd figure out the composition. And actually this image could be interpreted many ways....people often wear "2" faces.........some only show one on the outside and the other is hidden within.....never wanting to expose their insecurities, or deceptions.

Others wear both at the same time....depending on their mood....one face is more predominant. Then there is the thought...some are very transparent and unable to hide their feelings.

Regardless, we all have some days better than others, I felt the sad face was an expression of how I was feeling...(re my Mom)....yet overall I am a 'cheery person'.

I love your interpretation as it is also part of the equation.....and could be very involved. They are part of 'today' but their ceremony and history are very evident and still celebrate their heritage. Many thanks Michael....you're the best...sincerely, Gail

Gail...I really love this image.  Don't know how I missed it earlier.  Stunning.  You have captured the Ying and Yang of expression.  Love the color palette and everything about this piece.  And yes, it truly is a gallery work of art.  Becky
