Beautiful Burn I

The bark of the Lodgepole Pines was mesmerizing - like a beautiful

piece of pished stone. I skiied by many trees before finding a grouping

that find the composition in my mind's eye. Take near Lone Mountain,

MT.

Nice composition.

Before I enlarged your photo I did not think they were lodgepoles. I have never seen a lodgepole with the vivid color once after the bark fell off.
