Elstad 8 Posted March 23, 2010 A most charming portrait my friend. I quite like the way the differance in contrast of foreground and back seperates the figure from its surroundings. Well Done! Link to comment
John Peri 1,029 Posted March 23, 2010 Thanks Bob, Raymond. I am frequently suprised, amused even to read when some people write under their own photos how much they like them (sic), praising this or that particular quality! I may even be a little envious too, because I only rarely know what to think of mine. It's certainly one reason among others why I post my work for critique. This is relatively different when compared with usual portraiture, in that it is informal work taken during conversation around the apartment. If a portrait is supposed to reflect character, then it may be interesting to try and capture our subjects when emotions are more easily exchanged and visible than in a studio. An ongoing experiment. I am interested how others may perceive it and others of the same series, having no clear impression of my own. Link to comment

pepmir 0 Posted March 23, 2010 It is a different portrait, not usual... I like it. It is not easy to be different today. Best regards. Link to comment
beaker 4 Posted March 24, 2010 I love the models gaze. It forces me to wonder just what she was thinking at the time. Great work as always. Link to comment
