jeffl7 0 Posted March 23, 2010 I always wondered what happened to her. The sad, poor life of a princess after the glamor fades. There are enough elements here to construct a complicated storyline. Great work. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted March 24, 2010 It made me appreciate the photo for itself, but more so with the title attached to it. It really is like a second continuous part of a great childhood imaginative story, that is getting a reality turn.....Very good composition, timing and association. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted March 24, 2010 A classic presentation of a moment realized, an opportunity seized. One must have one's eyes open...and have a camera, of course. Link to comment
toloduran 0 Posted March 24, 2010 Estupenda toma y acertado titulo, con una magnifica luz y b&w. Saludos -Tolo. Link to comment
myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted March 25, 2010 And I am the Prince years after. I wonder if she is still interested. Or was that a frog in another story? Excellent photo. Link to comment
LorenzaF 0 Posted March 25, 2010 I've always thought that glass shoes must not be very comfy, but in this very specific case I think the title (funny, indeed) detracts something from a photo that is strong per se and hints to something more that a simple visual pun. Link to comment
celasun 0 Posted March 25, 2010 Many thanks to you all for your much appreciated visits and comments. This is from a wedding when almost all the guests have left.Jeff,>There are enough elements here to construct a complicated storyline. I confess I have noticed the said elements after shooting (but before choosing a title).Pnina,The title was a double edged sword (see Lorenza's comment). However, once it came to my mind I could not resist much...Jack,>One must have ... a camera, of course. As someone with a shallow and leaky memory, I consistently surprise myself by never leaving home without a camera :)Tolo,I have spent quite sometime converting this into B&W as the original conditions were limiting the quality of photography.I am happy that you liked the result.Meir,>I wonder if she is still interested.I am sure she will ... if you bring your D700 with you : )Lorenza,Happy to see you back & here after a while.>...I think the title (funny, indeed) detracts something from a photo that is strong per se >and hints to something more than a simple visual pun. This was bothering me since the moment I have submitted the photo here. The photo does tell me (even as a man) a lot more than a simple visual pun could ever do.I will consider displaying it without a title in the future. myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted March 26, 2010 By the way, she is very attractive. I see the cane. I wonder what is the event? And why is she outside all alone? The door ajar with a peek inside adds a lot to the photo. Link to comment
celasun 0 Posted April 2, 2010 Meir, This was after the wedding ceremony and most of the guest had already been on their way home.I believe she was simply tired and her shoes did not fit well for some reason. The cane may not be hers.I am sure she would be very happy to learn your opinion of her and will perhaps, blush :) Link to comment
celasun 0 Posted April 5, 2010 Meir,I do not know but, it is unlikely judging from the families of the married couple. You are far better equipped than myself to judge, however. Link to comment
myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted April 5, 2010 Of course she is not. Just wishful thinking on my part. Link to comment
