A challenging exposure to say the least. Still, I love the way the backlit flowers glow, so why not give it a try. Luckily, the sky had a low hanging haze in the distance that partially blocked the sun's intensity. Three exposures were used to blend it together from top to bottom. It looks rich in color, but represents how the scene looked to me at the time; intense! Thanks for your impressions.

Mark, this is s stunner. I normally avoid getting the sun in an image like the plague, but here it works very well.

Hey Jeff, thanks for the approval. Only on occasion do I allow the sun into the frame, but I do like the effect it can have when it comes out right. Thanks for stopping by!

From your foreground detail leading backing into those amazing shaped hills up to the sky with even more detail, this image will cause a lot of people to be interested in owning your work. The foothills are amazing. One thing to remember is to watermark your images. Or you'll find your images used everywhere without your consent and no will know who took this great image. Ry

Thanks Ryan, Mary, Giuseppe and Marc. Ryan, I have been considering a watermark, but at the same time I hate them when they are splashed across an image. Yes, I know that some will pilfer my jpgs for their own purpose without my consent. I have seen it already. Truthfully, I don't sweat it in most cases. Many others display low res images less than 600 pixels to discourage theft, but that can also can be frustrating for the viewer. Despite the occasional roach like beings who insist on grabbing anything they see off the web, I still like to present large files that everyone else can enjoy. Mary, that's quite a humbling complement, coming from one of your talent! Marc, the color temp was actually cranked down a bit from the RAW, and I still think it might be too hot for me, but many others like it so probably will stay on the steamy side. Thanks all!

The light and color are simply beautiful, and you've done a superb job with your blends.

Thanks Rick! I have admired your photography ever since joining PNet (2005). I appreciate the high regards and I must say you have probably inspired some of my work. Great to hear from you!!
