A weak sun was trying to warm the atmosphere and I was poised to

take a picture of it. Probably the best sunrise I have seen in many a

moon (forgive the pun) :)

The halos around some of the elements in this shot suggest a lot of sharpening has been applied, but infact that's quite a good addition to this image and enhances the backlighting from the sun. It's a very nice image.

Many thanks Peter. The halos came out as a result of trying to lighten the horizen above the sun and the trees. No sharpening applied to the image at all. I don't think that I have (perhaps by accident), as images of this nature can get destroyed by applying shapening.

Thank you Arup. Next time I see a sunrise like this I will try a slightly different angle to avoid the bush and yet maintain the large tree.
